Patiently Awaiting Autumn At Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby Is Getting Ready for The Fall Season and So Am I

Hello Christmas Luminaries,

I know April is getting ready to say farewell and May is waiting to make its debut, but I wanted to get you in the mood of at least dreaming about Autumn.

And even I am writing about Autumn I must still honor Spring in another post. Please visit often more talk about the seasons for they are all so very special and beautiful.

Last year in July 2025, I headed to my neighborhood Hobby Lobby just to see if they had put out Autumn decor. When I walked into the store I was met by all things Fall with a little bit of Christmas decorations mixed in.

I found their shelves stocked to the edges with vines, pumpkins, pillows and candles. I was in my world.

Seeing all of the cozy and wonderful Autumn decor made me want to try my hands at crafting. Here’s the thing though, I do not know a think about crafting although I could probably learn. I just may try making an Autumn wreath this year, but I will have to see how much is involving in making it. I might be fun to design a bright and colorful Fall wreath. I am a designed, but not a crafter!

It’s only April, but guess what, I bet Hobby Lobby with all its crafting items will have their Fall decor on shelves in a couple of months and I’ll be ready. I’ll be ready to shop and of course I’ll be ready to decorate my home.

I am expecting new designs in the Autumn collection at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. I’m looking forward to the warm palettes and breathtaking Autumn colors. I’m excited.

Stay tuned for what’s about to come.

It’s going to be a season to remember in 2026.

Happy Thanksgiving

Christmas is on the horizon but First Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is Thursday November 28, 2024.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Thanksgiving is coming soon. Yes and here at my house we are overjoyed. It doesn’t take much to get me excited so when I hear the word Thanksgiving I’m ready to get busy cooking.

The supermarkets all have their Thanksgiving items on display and I love it!

I started shopping for my thanksgiving dinner in October. I always want to be ready way before the day because I don’t want to run to the store when they are jam packed even though I must admit it is so much fun seeing people prepare for this special holiday.

This year I’ll be making my traditional Thanksgiving dinner that my mother handed down to me.

Here’s my Thanksgiving day dinner menu,

  • Turkey
  • Dressing
  • Potato salad
  • Mac n cheese
  • String beans
  • Candied yams
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Dinner rolls
  • Water

For dessert we will enjoy homemade sweet potato pies.

This is the famous dinner that I prepare each and every year for my family and they love it. I just thought of something. Instead of potato salad I think I’m going to make scalloped potatoes this year. Yes, that’s what I’m going to do.

After dinner my family and I will enjoy each others company and watch the NFL. I’ll check to see what teams are scheduled to play on Thanksgiving Day.

I’m looking forward to cooking and spreading holiday cheer all day long for Thanksgiving 2024.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to get together with family and sometimes friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Oh, and Merry Christmas too.
