Christmastime is Here
It’s time to celebrate

Hello Christmas Luminaries.
Christmastime is here. Are you as excited about the holiday season as I am? I sure hope so because I have a lot to talk about and share.
Today is October 28, 2026 and I am late putting up my Christmas tree. I normally put up my tree on October 15, but a lot was going on with me and my family.
On July 1, we listed on our home with plans of moving to a new home by August. Well, that didn’t go well for us at all and the buyers agreed to cancel the agreement.
My husband and I had started packing up our home because we were sure that we were going to find the perfect home, but things got worse as time moved on.
We were supposed to make settlement on our existing home on October 25 and when that couldn’t happen we had to make plans to get our things from the storage unit that we had rented.
It’s time to unpack for the holidays-The House Agreement Has Been Cancelled
I have a lot of unpacking to do and that is fine with me because we realize we have everything that we could ever want and need in a house.
I plan to have my kitchen renovated and new hardwood floors installed, but I am in not rush. I’m just thankful that the buyers of our home agreed to cancel the agreement.
And now this weekend I cannot wait to put up my flocked Christmas tree. I am going to decorate like I’ve never decorated before. You will see thanksgiving on that tree at every twinkling bright light.
I am really excited and sincerely grateful to decorate my living and dining rooms for the upcoming holiday season. What a precious time for my husband and I to have a new beginning right here in our warm and cozy Christmas home.
This Christmas will be very dear to us because of all of the uncertainties surrounding the sale of our home. I am going to put decorations all around our house. In the picture window, around it and all throughout my living room.
Christmastime is Candle time
Candles will warm our home. I plan to go to Home Goods to get as many Christmas candles that I can find. They have a large selection of red-jar candles. I already have a few candles, but for this special occasion and I am going to buy even more this Christmas.
I am also going to do a lot of baking. I just made a quick bread lemon mix that I bought from Williams-Sonoma back in July when it was on sale. It was absolutely delicious. I also purchased their vanilla bean cake and will bake and freeze it for Christmas. I’ll let you know how it tastes.
When I go food shopping this evening I am going to grab a few boxes of dark Chocolate brownie mix by Ghirardelli. We love their brownies. I’ll freeze those as well.
I’m trying my best to get a lot of baking done for the holidays right now. Freezing the cake and brownies will free up time for me to have more self-care days for myself.
This weekend I’ll be getting out a lot of my Christmas decorations. I’ll take pictures so that you can see my Christmas winter wonderland.
Christmastime is here – celebrate with me!
Well, that is it for now Luminaries.
Merry Christmas
