7 Fun Things You Can Do On Christmas Eve

7 Wonderful Ways To Have Fun On Christmas Eve

7 Fun Things You Can Do On Christmas Eve

Before you look up you’ll be in the midst of Christmas Eve enjoying the festivities with family and friends.

To make the holiday even more festive here are 7 things that you can do to make that happen.

Number 1.

Turn on Christmas music. Play something holly jolly to make your spirit merry and bright.

Number 2.

Grab pen and paper and call your family and gather around the table, dining room or kitchen, whichever space you’re most comfortable in. Now, you’ll start a Christmas story. Here’s the title of your story; Christmas Warms My Heart and Home. Write the first paragraph of the story and then pass it on to the next family member and they will pick up the story where you left off. Continue this pattern until the story is finished. Chose one person to read the story out loud and ask each family member to explain what this Christmas story means to them.

Number 3.

Make Christmas Confetti for the night. Get red, green and white construction paper. Draw heavy criss-crossed lines to make perforations on the paper. Cut-out the squares, put them in a jar and when Christmas morning comes, give each family member a hand full of confetti and sprinkle it into whatever room you are opening your Christmas gifts. Enjoy the traditional Christmas colors and sing, We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Get into the Spirit of Christmas Day.

Number 4.

Sing karaoke. Turn on that karaoke machine, grab your microphone and start singing as loud and joyfully as you can. Invite family members to join in and just have fun.

Number 5.

Hang mistletoe and plant a big fat kiss on everyone’s cheek.

Number 6.

Bake, eat and enjoy warm chocolate chip cookies with a cold glass of milk. Enjoy!

Number 7.

Exchange one Christmas present with one family member.

Number 8.

Snuggle up under the fire place and read a comfy cozy bedtime Christmas story to your family members.

And now it’s time to go to bed. Kiss each family member and tell them how much you love them.

Christmas Day is coming soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Family and Friends Gather Together To Bring Good Cheer On Christmas Eve

It Was The Night Before Christmas Poem

Christmas Luminaries, how are you?

Are you as excited as I am about the Christmas holidays this year? We truly have a lot to be excited, thankful and grateful for.

Lately, I’ve been spreading the news about my elation for the Christmas season and sharing it with anyone who will listen across the pond..

Creating magical moments for Christmas time is all I can think about right now.

As I prepare for holiday cheer, there is one thing I have to do though and that is to add more Christmas decorations throughout my home.

Loving The Christmas Eve Vibes and Wishful Magical Moments

My artificial Christmas tree will be up soon. I have a few personalized Christmas ornaments that I will be putting on my tree this year. I’m thinking about putting outdoor Christmas decorations around my entire house, but I’ll see.

Also, I need to finish my Christmas shopping. Most of this year’s Christmas gifts will go to me.

I’ll be shopping mostly online again this Christmas. love online Christmas shopping and I’ll be doing that soon. Every year I shop online for my Christmas gifts and thus far it has been a huge success.

Another thing I need to do is find a few candy cane scented candles for my kitchen to bring the smell of Christmas into every room in my home. I love candles. They are so appropriate for the holiday season as they deliver good cheer into my space.

Being a creative, I love to write. Writing short Christmas stories and poems bring me tremendous joy.

I’d love to share with you my latest short Christmas poem. I hope you enjoy it.

It Was The Night Before Christmas Poem

A lot of my Christmas joy comes from sharing my abundance with the world. Christmastime inspires me. It helps me to get deep into the spirit.

Have you visited my Facebook Page, The Love and Joy of Christmas? If not why don’t you check it out. I’m sure you’ll find it to be filled with wonder, warmth and splendor.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Sincerely,

Have a Joyful Christmas Season

embrace the Spirit of Christmas with All Your Heart

Fall in love with Christmas again and again.

There will always be joyful moments when you believe in the Spirit Christmas. Fully embracing the holiday season delivers an abundance of love, peace and joy.

Let’s have a sincere conversation about Christmas and its wonder.

July will soon be days of the past. Days that came so quickly and departed before evening, you will say so long July and welcome in the hot days of August.

August will most likely make its way onto our daily list of all the things we must do to prepare for the next holiday which is Labor Day in September.

Meanwhile, families will be getting ready for school to start.  The Jersey shore, often homes to thousands of people for a brief moment of time, will be a reflection of memories made.

And then thoughts of the holiday season will come to clothe us with elation and we smile.

We will see visions of families gathering, sharing meals and enjoying the holiday season.

Extending your heart as you open your hands, you give.

Giving is an everyday occurrence for all of us.

Sharing all of the abundance that we have makes the holiday season a special time that we look forward to year after year.

True and sincere words are spoken to the hearts of those whose lives are in our presence throughout this joyous time.

Embracing the miracles that come to blanket our hearts and homes we give thanks for being granted our heart’s desire.

We also give thanks for the wonderful abundant blessings that we experience all year long.

And now  champagne Christmas opens the door to the Douglas fir tree to come in to adorn our homes in splendor. A fully bloomed Christmas tree whose thirst must be quenched from the moment it brings in wonder.

With intentions of decorating this beautiful baby from top to bottom with white lights it will bring in warmth, smiles and hope. A hope for a promising new way of thinking that takes us to a place of new beginnings; our hearts.

Gifts wrapped, Christmas songs sang and delicious food to warm our souls are some of the traditions to be shared..

Hope-filled, the renewing of the mind delivers joy that radiates through the windows of homes.

Stars and glow from the moon and expressions that light up every Christmas tree ornament will be felt and all shall be illuminated.

Stories will be written and peace will never leave.

This new life has all the splendor and joy that helps to define the meaning of believing.

Believing in the miracles and the amazing moments that we share with family, friends and those close to us.

May all the days of the holiday season be the way you see and how you live and enjoy it.

In conclusion, enjoy the holiday season and embrace the joy.

Merry Christmas to all.

The Special Christmas Dinner Guest

It’s Christmas Eve, Dinner Is Served, Please Won’t You Join Us

The Special Christmas Dinner Guest

Embracing special moments throughout the joyful holiday season.

My family and I got up early in the morning on Christmas Eve.

We had a ton of things to do today before our guests would arrive for our annual Christmas Eve dinner.

We all piled in the car to go get a last few minute items for the feast.

Every year at 4 p.m. the festivities begin and the kids were super happy. This year they sent out invitations to a few of their classmates and they accepted.

I had already prepared most of my dinner the night before because I want to enjoy as much time as possible with all my guests. Relaxing and conversing with some of my closest friends brings me exceeding joy.

When we got to the supermarket I grabbed the sourdough rolls, my favorite vegan butter and a small lemon cake for me and hubby to enjoy later that night. I had the wine chilling in our little fridge for a special time such as this one.

After picking up everything I needed from the store the kids and I made a beeline home.

The Special Christmas Dinner Guest

I asked the kids to straighten up the living room a bit while I created a gorgeous tablescape for our Christmas dinner party. It turned out more beautiful than last year.

After that the kids bathed and got dressed. I showered and slathered on my Rose Gold luxurious handcrafted body butter. It was time to get dress. I put on my pretty red dress and stepped into my black leather shoes, the ones with the red bottom soles. I looked in the mirror and quickly approved of my attire. I gave myself and wink. Guests would be arriving very soon.

The kids and I made our way downstairs and waited with pure joy for our special guests to get here.

Our ring camera informed us that our first guest had arrived. We quickly went to the front door to see who it was.

The Special Christmas Dinner Guest

I looked out the window and saw my daughter’s two best friends smiling from ear-to-ear. I think it’s safe to say they were elated to join us for Christmas Eve dinner.

They came in and headed straight to my daughter’s room to hangout until it was time to eat.

Not long after our other guests started arriving in bunches. Altogether 15 guests had come for dinner.

Their home is my home which means they can hangout anywhere in my home they want to. Most of us sat in the kitchen while other friends gathered in the living and dining rooms.

I had a large variety of mouthwatering appetizers and plenty of beverages in each room for my friends to enjoy. Of course I baked my moist delicious dark chocolate brownies. The kids gobbled those up!

The house was clothed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance was amazing and everyone was in awe of my breathtaking,  unique and beautiful Christmas decorations that blanketed our home from top to bottom and wall to wall.

Everything was exactly how I envisioned and planned it. It was simply sensational.

The Special Christmas Dinner Guest

As we all got ready to eat dinner there was another ring at my front door. It was strange though because I didn’t see anyone on the camera.

I quickly made my way to the front door, but when I opened it no one was there. I checked carefully around the front yard, but all was quiet. I went back into the house because I didn’t want to leave my guests alone for too long.

While we were eating and engaging in Christmas conversation and celebrating each other I heard another ring at my front door. This time my husband checked, but he didn’t see or hear a thing.

So he came back to the table. After dinner was over we all gave a toast to each other for time spent creating gifted memories we will cherish a lifetime.

After our toast I heard another ring at my front door. My camera informs me that someone is at our front door for the third time. This time my guests, hubby and I all head to the front door. As we open the front door we see a big red sleigh loaded with gifts. And then we see 12 reindeer on our lawn.

We could not believe our eyes. While we were standing there in amazement snow began falling.

Talk about overjoyed we were laughing and just having a grand time.

All of a sudden the kids and their friends came running outside and told us to come around to the backyard. We hurriedly walked to the back of the house. Shocked, we saw a man around 5’10” tall. He was super round with the whitest snow like beard laughing as loud as he could. It was Santa Claus.

Santa lovingly gave gifts to all of us. He also warmed his belly with a full course meal and he loved it!

Not long after that, Santa fed his reindeer a few special treats before they took flight.

I hugged the old guy, rubbed his tummy and sent him on his way, but before he jumped into his sleigh, I whispered in his ear, I love you, Santa. Thank you for all of my Christmas gifts you have left me along the way.

This is a night none of us will forget.

My Home Is Alive On Christmas Eve

My Heart Beats with Christmas Tradition, Spirit and Peace

The Spirit of Christmas came to visit my home and decided to stay.

Whenever I hear the first sounds of Christmas I smile. I am smiling knowing my heart will be filled with more love than the days before.

Radiance fills my heart and I illuminate like lights on a tree.

Ornaments of grace and a crown of glory brighten my home. I am forever gifted with treasures and trinkets.

In my living room there are two subtly scented candles. Sweet gingerbread and decadent apple cinnamon. They lend light along with a touch of elegance when evening falls and light and lamps have been dimmed.

And as I feel the embers and see the glow from the fireplace and how it glows in every space in my place, I am still smiling.

I have always believed my home is like nature. It is peaceful and overflowing with calm. It is a place for all who enter to relax and dream.

The Spirit of Christmas Surrounds my home day and night and This story tells a tale all about the beauty of the christmas season and how it makes me feel loved

As I am entering into more of the same Christmas meets me so that I receive more love. I will welcome it and I shall embrace it. The feeling is like a fleece-lined comforter that comes to bring me comfort and joy just like Santa when he comes to deliver Christmas presents for girls and boys.

And now as I make my way into my beautifully decorated breathtaking dining room I invite family and friends to gather and glow. Right here we will converse, talk Christmas and of speak of love.

There will be plenty of champagne. We shall toast the evening.

Our dinner will be the most delicious fare where recipes will be shared and thoughts of guests will be given.

When dinner has been served and dessert enjoyed and loved to the fullest we will enter into the living room to exchange handcrafted Christmas cards and LV gifts.  Every card will contain heart written messages of Christmas joy.

Gifts will be both large and small to suite each guest to the tee. And yes, we will sip on tea. We will share Christmas stories from years past and create new memories that will forever last.

I Give a Toast To  The Spirit of Christmas that forever shall reign in my heart

And now on this Christmas Eve we will share all of our good nights with kisses and hugs oh so tight.

The festivities have been blessed and the celebration as amazing as my guests.

All of my candles have melted down.  My eyes will now close and my body must rest as I give peace to my mind graciously flowing from the north south east and west.

Good night to all and to all bright lights.

The Spirit of Christmas came to visit my home and I am forever thankful for friends who came to roam.

A champagne Christmas gives a toast to Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas everyone,

Christmas Morning Through Loving Eyes

The Magic Still Lingers: Christmas Morning Through Grown-Up Eyes

Christmas Morning Traditions and Joy

Christmas morning traditions and joy awaken us to love.

Christmas morning. The words alone conjure up a whirlwind of nostalgia, a heady mix of sugar-fueled excitement and the comforting warmth of family. We remember the feeling of anticipation, the frantic tearing of wrapping paper, the sheer, unadulterated joy of discovering the treasures

Santa had left behind. But what happens when we grow up? Does the magic of Christmas morning simply fade, replaced by the more practical realities of adulthood?

While the childlike wonder may soften around the edges, the magic of Christmas morning, I believe, simply transforms. It morphs from a focus on personal gain to a celebration of connection, tradition, and heartfelt giving.

Gone are the days of bounding out of bed at the crack of dawn, driven by the lust for new toys. Now, the morning often begins with a quiet cup of coffee, a moment to appreciate the peaceful stillness before the family chaos erupts.

We might steal a glance at the twinkling lights on the tree, a silent acknowledgment of the shared memories and the history it represents.

The focus shifts from receiving to giving. The anticipation now lies in witnessing the reactions of loved ones as they open the gifts we carefully selected, hoping they capture the essence of our relationship.

The joy comes not from the thrill of a new gadget, but from the warmth of a hug, the genuine delight on a child’s face, or the knowing smile of a partner who appreciates the thought that went into a present.

Christmas Traditions Last Forevermore In The Spirit of Love

Traditions become even more important. The familiar rituals, from the specific type of breakfast eaten (pancakes shaped like reindeer, anyone?) to the order in which presents are opened, become anchors in a sea of change. They are the threads that connect generations, weaving a tapestry of shared experiences that strengthens family bonds.

Perhaps the most profound shift is in our understanding of the true meaning of Christmas. As children, we might have focused on the presents, but as adults, we begin to appreciate the deeper message of hope, peace, and goodwill.

Christmas morning becomes a reminder to be grateful for what we have, to cherish the people in our lives, and to extend kindness and compassion to those in need.

While the frantic energy of childhood Christmases may be replaced with a more measured pace, the magic remains. It’s in the shared laughter, the cozy atmosphere, the feeling of belonging, and the simple act of being present with loved ones.

This year, as you gather around the tree on Christmas morning, take a moment to appreciate the evolving magic. Embrace the traditions, cherish the connections, and remember that the true spirit of Christmas lies not in the gifts we receive, but in the love we share. Because even though we’ve grown up, the magic of Christmas morning, in its own unique way, still lingers.

Christmas morning traditions and joy is the spirit that brings us peace.

Merry Christmas everybody.

Miracles in the Making On Christmas Eve

The Magic of Christmas Eve: A Celebration of Family

The Magic of Christmas Eve

The magic of Christmas Eve resides in our minds. We close our eyes and see beauty and joy.

The air crackles with anticipation, the scent of pine needles and gingerbread hangs heavy, and a feeling of warmth settles deep within our hearts. More than just the eve of a gift-giving frenzy,

Christmas Eve is a potent reminder of the importance of family, tradition, and the simple joy of being together.

For many, Christmas Eve is the anchor that holds the holiday season together. While Christmas Day might bring the excitement of unwrapping presents,

Christmas Eve is often steeped in beloved rituals that have been passed down through generations. Perhaps it’s a special reading of “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” a caroling session around the piano, or the careful placement of cookies and milk for Santa.

These traditions, repeated year after year, become cherished memories woven into the fabric of our family narrative.

The beauty of Christmas Eve lies in its emphasis on connection. It’s a time to slow down, unplug from the digital world, and truly focus on the people surrounding you.

Laughter fills the air as family members share stories, reminisce about past Christmases, and create new memories that will be treasured for years to come.

The preparation for the holiday, from decorating the tree to baking festive treats, becomes a collaborative effort, strengthening bonds and fostering a sense of shared purpose.

For those who live far apart, Christmas Eve might be the first opportunity of the holiday season to reconnect with loved ones.

The joy of seeing faces light up, sharing a warm embrace, and catching up on the year’s events is a gift in itself. Even if physical distance prevents gathering in person, technology allows us to bridge the gap through video calls, sharing stories and laughter across miles.

Christmas Eve is also a time for reflection.

It’s a chance to pause and appreciate the blessings in our lives, to express gratitude for the love and support of our family, and to remember those who are no longer with us.

Lighting a candle in remembrance, sharing stories about loved ones who have passed, or simply holding them in our hearts can be a powerful way to honor their memory and keep their spirit alive.

Ultimately, Christmas Eve is a celebration of family in its purest form. It’s about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, sharing love and laughter, and cherishing the moments spent together. It’s a reminder that the greatest gifts aren’t found under the tree, but in the hearts of the people we hold dear.

So this Christmas Eve, let us embrace the magic of the season and the enduring power of family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Merry Christmas Everybody,

Cyn

Best Stores To Shop for Christmas Gifts

Shopping for Christmas Gifts in 2025

Shopping for Christmas Gifts in 2025

Are you looking forward to the holiday season this year? I know I am. As a matter-of-fact I’ve been checking out a few stores for bargains. This is a great time to shop sales with amazing prices.

I like looking online for the convenience of it all.

Which do you prefer; going to the mall or shopping online? I enjoy both. One of my favorite stores to shop is Eddie Bauer. They have a beautiful store in Brinton Lakes and they have a large variety of clothing items that are great for my family’s needs I went to the EB store last year to shop for a few Christmas gifts for family.

Do you have any favorite stores that you shop for Christmas gifts?

Some of my favorite places to shop for Christmas gifts are:

  • Eddie Bauer
  • QVC
  • The NBA Store
  • Fanatics
  • HSN
  • Williams Sonoma
  • Pottery Barn
  • Macy’s

When I shop Eddie Bauer I look for pajamas for my guys because of their flannels. They are cottony soft and super warm. Now for Christmas decorations I shop QVC because they have some nice bright pieces to help decorate my home. QVC also has a really good coffee cake that we love here in my home. The coffee is moist, rich and just down right good.

Home Goods is another favorite store of my mine. Their Christmas decor is beautiful and reasonably priced and who doesn’t love a great bargain that comes with excellent quality.

For my one son I shop Lakers gear because he is a really big Lakers Fan with Kobe being his favorite player of all time. Every year at Christmastime I purchase him a lot of Lakers paraphernalia and every thing that I have purchased thus far he has loved and wears.  Not once have I had to return one gift.

Let’s Go Shopping for Christmas Presents for family and loved ones

Shopping for Christmas Gifts in 2025

Macy’s. I love Macy’s and I can be sure that all my purchases have come with a great price tag. I never mind using my money when it comes to shopping at this icon of a store. They have just about everything I need for me and my home. For instance, whenever I need silverware I know that I can count on Macy’s to find the perfect set of anything dinner and kitchen related.

Williams Sonoma and run Pottery Barn are two of the most beautiful stores I have ever shopped. Talk about lovely pieces of home decor, living room and kitchen, you cannot go wrong with Williams Sonoma or Pottery Barn.

We have amazing furniture from Pottery Barn and kitchen utensils from Williams Sonoma. The quality of their items are remarkable and they last a lifetime. That’s how you know you’re getting the best when you shop at these gorgeous stores. I can’t forget to tell you that Williams Sonoma has some of the best bread mixes you’ll ever taste. You must try some. I always grab a bunch when they go on sale. They should have some on sale now if you want to grab some for you and your loved ones. They taste great and make lovely desserts for Christmas Eve.

All of the stores listed above I love. I also shop Hobby Lobby and Michael’s during the holiday season. Hobby Lobby puts out their Christmas decorations in early August so I’ll go there as soon as they stock the shelves.

There are many stores that I love to shop throughout Christmas. The above is just a small list. The goal here is to give you some ideas when it comes to Christmas shopping. I hope this small list has helped you as you navigate your way shopping for family, friends and yourself during the most wonderful time of the year.

Hopefully, shopping for Christmas gifts in 2025 just got easier with a whole lot of fun!

Merry Christmas Everyone,

Cyn
