How to Decorate Your House for Christmas with a Whole Lot of Love
Pour in an abundance of love into every space of your home this holiday season

I had a text conversation with one of my best friends this morning. She is about to decorate her entire home in Christmas decor. This is no surprise though because every year her entire house is covered in Christmas. She creates a real Christmas wonderland every year. She navigates through her home with a narrow path starting from her front door all the way to her kitchen.
It’s safe to say that she loves Christmas!
Let’s pour in the love and comfy cozy into your home for the holidays

Today is July 7. It was just July 1st. Time is moving quicker than ever this year.
Christmas in July is going on over at QVC and Valerie Par Hill has some lovely pieces this year for the holidays as she loves to say.
Expressions of love from the heart can be seen in each design she creates.
As I get ready for Christmas I see visions of all kinds of Christmas in mind.
Are you ready to decorate your house for the Christmas season. Okay, let’s get started.

First, let’s create your theme and color scheme.
How do you like red and gold for your colors. What about purple, red and gold. Depending on the purple, the color must be the right purple because the darker hued purples will not compliment red too well. I say this I tried it and the color purple I had chosen was all wrong. The two colors go beautifully together as long as you have the right color purple. Laker purple is a beautiful purple to go with Christmas red.
What about really bright white lights to drape all around your living room and maybe even in your dining room.
You can put those bright white lights all around your living room windows and add green garland around the lights. This will brighten your home beautifully when evening falls. Set those lights on a timer so that they go off when night falls. My husband sets our timer for 12 midnight. This gives us both time to sit back to enjoy all the wonder.
I also suggest purchasing Christmas luminaries to give your living a warm soft glow. This sets the tone for the entire holiday season and maybe even after if you just want to still enjoy Christmas after you’ve taken down your decorations.
I buy both real candles and battery-operated luminaries for my living room, dining room and my kitchen. My kitchen is small, but I add touches of whimsy on my little stand on which my small lamp sits and gives the perfect amount of light when the ceiling light is off. I love the feel of that kind of warmth.
Throw pillows can brighten your home and comfy your couch

How do you like couch pillows? I think couch pillows can add a special touch to any couch as long as they are the right color and style.
For. Christmas I think throw pillows can add a whole lot of depth for the Christmas holiday.
Which colors do you prefer? I love red pillows straight out of Pottery Barn.
Pottery Barn has some of the most magnificent throw pillows I have ever seen. I love everything about their pillows. Starting with the fabric, PB pillows are simply gorgeous. Their deep red Christmas pillows truly warm my spirit. And with less being more, sometimes all you need is one Pottery Barn pillow and your couch says come sit with me.
I highly recommend taking a look at Pottery Barn’s Christmas home to see if you like their Christmas pillows and other decorations.
PB has also has some lovely throws for your couch or bed as well as some wonderful hand towels for guests when they visit you throughout the most wonderful time of the year!
Lighted Christmas ornaments can bring even more light into your special space

Is there a special space or room that you love the most in your home? For me it’s my living room.
My living room is a quiet and warm place that I love. It gives me a sense of peace, love and joy. I spend a lot of time by myself and my living room hugs me a way that no other room in my home does.
So when Christmas comes I start the decorating process in mid-October.
A few years ago I bought a gingerbread couple from QVC. They light up just enough to give my living room a nice glow. This piece ties in perfectly with all of my other Christmas lights. In other words, they compliment each other wonderfully. At night I turn off my table lamps and allow the Christmas lights to shine throughout my entire first floor.
If you have a sofa table you can decorate it and turn it into Christmas splendor

Every year I add multi-colored lights to my sofa table along with a red wreath. I also place red and gold Christmas ornaments on the table to give it that special Christmas touch.
Here’s another touch that can make your home more beautiful for Christmas.
Find yourself a few gold reindeer and place them on the left side and the ride under your sofa table. You will love it. It will become a story that only you can write for the holiday season.
For your dining room, place a Christmas table cloth on your round, retangular or square table. Place garland and candles on your table to make it pretty. You can even decorate your dining room chairs with garland and light. How beautiful is this thought?
Last, add some lovely cookies tins to the table. Fill the tins with all kinds of Christmas treats and don’t forget to the dark cholocate brownies.
Candles and Light Have A Way of Making Us Feel Like Love Lasts Forever

Placing candles all around your home can make your home feel cozy and comfy. I find most of my candles at Home Goods. They have an amazing collection of candles on display year round.
During the holiday season their shelves are covered in red glass candle jars. The reds are so beautiful too. Whenever I go to Home Goods to purchase my candles I always leave with more than I went there for.
If you do go to Home Goods to look for candles expect to walk out there with at least five candles. Besides, their prices are great.
Most of the scents of the candles are lovely as well. Apple Cinnamon is one of my favorite candles to buy from there.
Oh and I can’t forget to talk about the vessels the candle wax gets poured into. The candle glasses are exceptional. For all the candle makers out there, I thank you in advance for hand crafting such sensational beauties!
And there you have it.
It’s time to start making your list for Christmas and all of your spectacular decorations and enjoy the holiday season.
Merry Christmas Everyone,
Cyn
