The Holidays Delivered Joy and Goodness

Christmas 2025 Was Full of Goodness and Light

The Holidays Delivered Joy and Goodness

Hello Christmas Luminaries,

How was your Christmas? Was it merry and bright. Was it all that you hoped it would be?

I hope your Christmas was beyond blessed. Mine was blessed, bright and beautiful. With so much to be grateful for, my family and I broke bread and enjoyed a my usual Christmas Eve dinner. On Christmas Day I relaxed with a thankful heart for my family, friends and my home. We had more than enough food for Christmas Day dinner.

Is it okay to say that the food was great and the company was lovely. We ate dinner around 6 p.m.

The only thing that was missing from dinner was a pound cake. My husband promised to do the baking, but he never got around to it! You can best believe I won’t depend on him to bake the pound cake this year for Christmas because I need to have pound cake for dessert. I love ice cream and cake. Although I don’t eat it often it would have topped off the meal.

What did you bake for Christmas Eve dinner? Did you have dessert to go with coffee or tea?

I certainly hope that you had a lovely Christmas.

As I prepare to countdown to Christmas 2026, I know exactly what I am going to have for dinner this year. I’m going to try something totally new and different for my Christmas Eve dinner. You may have heard of it. It’s called the feast of the seven fishes.

Here’s a terrific article that tells you all about it. It’s a great read and I can’t wait until Christmas Eve to cook this amazing special meal.

Happy Thanksgiving Friends and Family

Invite Love To Thanksgiving Dinner Good Company and Life-Changing Conversations

Today is Tuesday, November 25th. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26th, 2025.

Are you ready to celebrate being thankful for all of the love and abundance that we get to enjoy everyday.

This year my menu contains peace, relaxation, family and gratefulness and some of the most delicious food ever.

Create A Thanksgiving Ambiance Filled with Wonder for Family and Friends

I started cooking today to make it easy on myself. I made glazed carrots, cut bean greens and candied yams. Seasoning my food with just the right amount of brown sugar and honey for my carrots, they came out perfectly.

This year I decided to add sautéed onions to my cut green beans and my usual onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt and a little black pepper. There is no doubt that my family will enjoy this lovely dish to go along with our meal.

Tomorrow I will make the yams and sweet potato pies. I’m thinking about making pumpkin pie, but I’ll see how things go. It may be too much to do both because I’ll also be baking dark chocolate brownies.

When I was at my daughter’s home in Washington, DC, this past weekend, she served one heck of a brunch. As soon as I saw the white plates beautifully complimenting her food I had to know where those white lovely plates came from.

They are from Amazon’s basics. When I got home I went straight to Amazon’s website and purchased the plates. 6 comes in a pack. I think I may have to order a few more sets. That’s how pretty they are.

My daughter informed that when you have guests arriving for brunch, lunch or dinner, the focus should be on the food and not the plates. Well, I say you definitely cannot go wrong with white plates.

Enjoy A Lovely Thanksgiving Dinner that you will never forget

With one more day left for cooking, tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26, I will finish my sides and then my desserts. On Thursday, Thanksgiving day I cook my turkey and look forward to having a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my family.

My heart will be flled with thanksgiving for all of the things for which I am grateful. My heart will reach to North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, DC, Maryland, Philadelphia and sending love to family in all of these locations.

The holiday season is always a lovely time to sit back and reflect on all of the love and memories that we cherish year after year.

There will be quiet moments as I cook and bake thinking about the delicious meals we all share with those we love and adore.

After Thanksgiving dinner and day have ended I will make my way to my bedroom and give thanks to God for life, health, great food and family.

It is my hope that your Thanksgiving Dinner will be a dinner that you can record in your journal with a grateful heart.

Happy Thanksgiving Christmas Friends.

My Home Goods Run for Christmas Decor

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Is At Home Goods

Most people do Target runs. I’m doing Home Goods runs!

With Christmas around the corner I’m doing weekly Home Good visits. I love my Home Goods. They have everything imaginable from Spring to Christmas. Besides, it’s close to my house and even though it’s super crowded every time I go there I love being in the midst of the holiday shoppers.

One of the things that bring me joy shopping at Home Goods is seeing the wonderful items in shoppers’ carts. Some of the Christmas shoppers share the same taste. If I’m seeing red and gold items anywhere near their carts I’m grabbing what they’re buying!

My Home Goods Run for Christmas Decor

Last Tuesday, (October 14th, 2025) I went to Home Goods and found that they had already started to put out a ton of their bright and whimsical Christmas decorations. There were boxes everywhere. Boxes loaded with Christmas items for all of us Christmas shoppers were in every aisle. Talk about unique items, I was like wow. Such beautiful things.

You know I got super excited seeing the sensational Christmas decor. Even though they had their shelves stocked to the brim and spilling over with Christmas, they still had more to put out. So much more. Of course I’m going back as soon as I can like tomorrow!!!!

The thing that I love about this special store is the quality of their items and their amazing prices.

There was one item though that caught my attention from afar was a bright red table runner.

My goodness it was lovely. It had gold glitter shining up and down the runner. Guess what? To my surprise there was a gingerbread man on each end of the runner. I cannot believe that I didn’t purchase that gorgeous table runner. I’m sure it’s gone. There were only two. I sure hope that I don’t regret getting it when it’s time for Christmas dinner. I think I may be able to find it again if home goods doesn’t restock it. It’s a one-of-a-kind kind of item so I’m not sure if home goods will stock more. I’ll certainly go back though and hope I can find it.

My Home Goods Run for Christmas Decor

If you’re looking for tabletop Christmas trees, Nativity Scenes, Angels, lights or sweet treats, Home Goods has it all for you.

If there’s a Home Goods near you run as fast as you can to see their Christmas decorations. You won’t be disappointed I promise you that.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

7 Fun Things You Can Do On Christmas Eve

7 Wonderful Ways To Have Fun On Christmas Eve

7 Fun Things You Can Do On Christmas Eve

Before you look up you’ll be in the midst of Christmas Eve enjoying the festivities with family and friends.

To make the holiday even more festive here are 7 things that you can do to make that happen.

Number 1.

Turn on Christmas music. Play something holly jolly to make your spirit merry and bright.

Number 2.

Grab pen and paper and call your family and gather around the table, dining room or kitchen, whichever space you’re most comfortable in. Now, you’ll start a Christmas story. Here’s the title of your story; Christmas Warms My Heart and Home. Write the first paragraph of the story and then pass it on to the next family member and they will pick up the story where you left off. Continue this pattern until the story is finished. Chose one person to read the story out loud and ask each family member to explain what this Christmas story means to them.

Number 3.

Make Christmas Confetti for the night. Get red, green and white construction paper. Draw heavy criss-crossed lines to make perforations on the paper. Cut-out the squares, put them in a jar and when Christmas morning comes, give each family member a hand full of confetti and sprinkle it into whatever room you are opening your Christmas gifts. Enjoy the traditional Christmas colors and sing, We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Get into the Spirit of Christmas Day.

Number 4.

Sing karaoke. Turn on that karaoke machine, grab your microphone and start singing as loud and joyfully as you can. Invite family members to join in and just have fun.

Number 5.

Hang mistletoe and plant a big fat kiss on everyone’s cheek.

Number 6.

Bake, eat and enjoy warm chocolate chip cookies with a cold glass of milk. Enjoy!

Number 7.

Exchange one Christmas present with one family member.

Number 8.

Snuggle up under the fire place and read a comfy cozy bedtime Christmas story to your family members.

And now it’s time to go to bed. Kiss each family member and tell them how much you love them.

Christmas Day is coming soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Making Plans for the Holiday Season

Christmas Is Around The Corner- Will You Be Ready

Christmas Is Around The Corner

Hello Christmas Friends,

How are you? Are you getting your home Christmas ready?

I’ve been window shopping since the 1st of September. I always love and appreciate being able to shop for the things that I need for the holiday season. This way I get to relax and enjoy the holidays along with everyone else in my home.

Christmas also gives me a sense of joy and happiness.

One of my favorite places to shop is Amazon. I love Amazon for the convenience of it all. I can order the items I need one day and they will arrive the same day or next day depending on what it is I am shopping for. That A to Z thing is true!

Amazon’s Prime Day is a great big deal as well. You can get some great deals and bargains which includes free shipping on a lot of their products.

If you’re looking for Christmas products like plastic plates, forks, napkins and more, you can find some really quality items on Amazon.

I’ve ordered a lot of Christmas dinnerware from Amazon. I also enjoy reading the reviews to ensure that I am getting the quality that I want. Make sure you read the reviews before making your purchase.

Well, it’s time for me to go. I have a ton of plans to make before the holiday season comes.

I’ll be back soon with more holiday festivities so we can all celebrate.

Sincerely,

Cyn

Merry Christmas and Holiday Wishes

Little by little I am rolling out my Christmas decorations, dinnerware and everything else that has to do with the holiday season.

I’ll be decorating my inside and outside this year. I also plan to buy a bunch of delicious treats this year. I usually buy Walker Shortbread cookies, but this year I will adding Effie’s Cookies to my dessert table.

Recently, I received what I like to call a care package from Effie’s and I tried them all. Talk about delicious, they literally melted in my mouth. Because I love anything with oats I decided to try the oat biscuits. Well, let me tell you, they were sweet, savory and melted in my mouth.

My husband loved them and ate the whole box in a matter of a few days. He tried to eat them in one sitting, but I told him to save a few more for me.

We also thought the Walnut, Hazelnut, Pecan and Corn Biscuits were just as amazing as the oat ones. I thought it was beyond kind of Effie to send me all of they amazing flavors. They will be a lovely surprise in my first Christmas gift giveaway on my Facebook page, The Love and Joy of Christmas.

If you love delicious sweet treats that have just the right amount of sugar and a good crunch, these maybe the perfect biscuit for you. They go well with coffee or tea too. Effie’s Biscuits will deliver sweet and savory without being overly sweet.

christmas time with Effie’s Homemade biscuits are simply delicious and Tastes Like You Made Them From Scratch

How To Prepare Your Home for the Christmas Season

Christmas is on the way – Let’s get ready to clean, bake and cook for the lovely holiday season

How to Get Your House Ready for the Christmas Season

You know that Christmas is coming. It’s right around the corner as my brother would say when we were kids growing up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

My family and I lived across the street from my famous high school, Overbrook, also home of the spectacular Wilt Chamberlain. My Christmases were blessed and my childhood memories of Christmas are lovely.

I find myself preparing for the holiday season the same way my parents did. My siblings and I enjoyed an immaculate home with all of the whimsy and trimmings that Christmas brought into our home.

I’ll never forget the food that my mother cooked and the desserts she baked. Looking back to those amazing days I realize that my mother could have been a chef.  Seven days a week she prepared loving and I mean delicious meals for us all year round.

I remember watching her make her special crust for her famous sweet potato cobbler. Our neighbors, family and friends raved about the deliciousness of all of her food. She was gifted with a loving heart, soft caring hands and we tasted that love with each and every meal that she lovingly prepared for us.

My mother kept our house spotless everyday of the year. My father and oldest brother washed windows twice a year and my sister and I dusted the coffee table and end tables every Saturday morning. Our family home was a loving environment.

And now that I have my own home and family I thoroughly love cleaning and keeping my home clean just like my mother.

Here’s How to clean your home for the holiday season

With Christmas being my favorite time of the year, I make sure that my home is properly ready to receive Christmas joy.

Would you like to know how I do this. Well, grab a cup of your favorite happy and keep reading for this is how I get my house Christmas ready.

To begin, I have to tell you what I use to clean my home. I recently saw a youtube video about using healthy cleaning supplies for the home.

One of the best cleaning solutions that I discovered is alcohol. Well, I had a few bottles of it in my home already and decided to give it a go. I won’t be using anything else.

Turn On The Christmas Music and Clean Your Home

I went on Walmart’s website and found exactly what I need. I purchased ten bottles of alcohol to clean my sinks and the private areas in my bathroom. All of my bathroons and sinks now sparkle with a fresh scent.

Starting in my living room, I wash all windows and walls. I also clean the wood trim throughout my house and I sponge down all the doors in my home.

I dust all of the furniture in my home, but I do that once a week already. Laundering bed linen and clean comforters is something that I love to do because I love the smell of fresh linen in all of my bedrooms of which there are four.

I also clean out my fridge and freezer to make room for my Christmas desserts, treats and mouth-watering goodies. Storing some of my cookies, cakes and brownies makes it easy on me. Baking treats early and storing them in the freezer gives me more time to relax during the holidays.

Another thing that I do is I throw out old spices to welcome in new spices. Everything in my kitchen gets a refresh.

I add clean fresh tablecloths on my dining room and kitchen tables making sure that each tablecloth has a  Christmas theme.

The four bedrooms in my home get a refresh and all of my bathrooms too. I place Christmas hand towels for guests in a lovely basket with a candle next to it.

After all of the cleaning that I do, my house is ready for Christmas. My home is clean from top to bottom and I love it.

And I think that’s everything. What about you. Do you deep clean your home from top to bottom when the Ber months arrive or do you do a light cleaning?

Well, I’ll be back with more cleaning tips next month.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Sincerely,

Cyn,

It Was The Night Before Christmas Poem

Family and Friends Gather Together To Bring Good Cheer On Christmas Eve

It Was The Night Before Christmas Poem

Christmas Luminaries, how are you?

Are you as excited as I am about the Christmas holidays this year? We truly have a lot to be excited, thankful and grateful for.

Lately, I’ve been spreading the news about my elation for the Christmas season and sharing it with anyone who will listen across the pond..

Creating magical moments for Christmas time is all I can think about right now.

As I prepare for holiday cheer, there is one thing I have to do though and that is to add more Christmas decorations throughout my home.

Loving The Christmas Eve Vibes and Wishful Magical Moments

My artificial Christmas tree will be up soon. I have a few personalized Christmas ornaments that I will be putting on my tree this year. I’m thinking about putting outdoor Christmas decorations around my entire house, but I’ll see.

Also, I need to finish my Christmas shopping. Most of this year’s Christmas gifts will go to me.

I’ll be shopping mostly online again this Christmas. love online Christmas shopping and I’ll be doing that soon. Every year I shop online for my Christmas gifts and thus far it has been a huge success.

Another thing I need to do is find a few candy cane scented candles for my kitchen to bring the smell of Christmas into every room in my home. I love candles. They are so appropriate for the holiday season as they deliver good cheer into my space.

Being a creative, I love to write. Writing short Christmas stories and poems bring me tremendous joy.

I’d love to share with you my latest short Christmas poem. I hope you enjoy it.

It Was The Night Before Christmas Poem

A lot of my Christmas joy comes from sharing my abundance with the world. Christmastime inspires me. It helps me to get deep into the spirit.

Holiday Greetings From My Heart To Yours

Holiday Greetings and Great Happy Feelings

Holiday Greetings

Hello Christmas Luminaries,

Holiday greetings from my home to yours!

Today is September 2nd and we are moving closer to Christmas time.

Last night as I was driving home from the grocery store, I saw two houses decorated with Christmas lights. One house even had a Christmas tree all lit up in their living room.

Many people are already decorating their homes for the holiday season. Christmas seems to bring a lot of joy into homes around the country. I think it’s that warm and cozy feeling that we expect and look forward to every year.

The Christmas Spirit speaks to our hearts and tells us to embrace the miracles.

Our holiday wishes also come true as and don’t we look forward to seeing our heart desires come to fruition. It’s a great time of the year.

We even see miracles right before our eyes and we believe. Yes, we believe that miracles really do come true especially when we close our eyes and dream.

When we dream of families coming together to share greater wealth more than any other time of the year, we beam. Next to Easter, Christmas fills our souls with prosperity and riches and overflowing abundance.

Christmas time also inspires us to go out to give to others. After all, Christmas is a time for caring, sharing and giving.

Caring, sharing and giving is an act of love and don’t you just love to love. It is that one emotion that clothes you with peace, joy and thanksgiving.

Also, being thankful opens up your heart and mind to receive those things which your heart desires. It is the ultimate fulfillment that brings you that one special Christmas gift that you long for all season long.

Christmas time is the wonder in your backyard and splendor in the snow. It often tells a story on the Eve of Christmas that says, you are loved. Loved by those you love, you come to expect and always receive those cheek to cheek, arm in arm tight hugs that you expect when the holiday season rests upon the roof top of your home. And don’t forget those soft sweet kisses that love plants on your beautiful face in addition to a whole lot of cozy.

You lovingly welcome holiday greetings and all its beauty with open arms. A wide open bountiful field, you see Christmas everywhere. This is your time of year. You’re happy, blessed and overjoyed and you should be because when Christmas enters your heart, you can’t help but smile, sing and sing some more. What better time to express your emotions and peace that surrounds and inspires you throughout the holiday season.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Your radiance reflect the Christmas lights on the tree and your heart is open to give and to receive.

Holiday greetings to all. Christmas time is here.

Merry Christmas everyone,

Cyn

Christmas Lives In My Heart and Home

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

happy holidays and a holly jolly merry christmas

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

Christmas 2025 is going to be spectacular. I can feel it.

And what better way to celebrate the season than with family, dear friends and song.

Christmas is such a joyful holiday that comes into our hearts warming our homes throughout the holiday season.

Each and every year I go all out decorating my home for Christmas.

My Christmas decorations are as pretty as Princess Grace.

The reason that I decorate my home from my living and all the way into my kitchen is simple; I love how they make my home look.

I especially love how my Christmas decorations make me feel, which is emotional, cozy and comfy. And when my home illumines with my white Christmas lights, it seems like the lights flow well into the moonlit sky.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and Prosperity To All

What makes a Merry Christmas and this sensational holiday happy?

For me it’s my family and home. It’s also the emotion that blankets me from the crown of my head to the souls of my feet.

The warmth that overtakes me like a whirlwind is the same feeling that I have felt since I was a child. This amazing sensation has always been a major and profound part of my life for as long as I can remember. I truly love the remarkable feeling of the holiday season.

This time of year gives me so much hope, joy and peace. Having this kind of love and joy is truly beautiful and it is, at least for me and my loved one, the meaning of good cheer.

Enjoying this kind of wealth and prosperity are the riches that delivers an abundance of happiness into my life every year every Christmas.

Holidays Are Happy When Christmas Is Merry

When I hear the words Merry Christmas I also hear Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and one more song that literally melts my heart and that song is O Holy Night.

These songs put me in a deeper Christmas mood and I just enjoy listening to them all season long and beyond.

When I turn my home into a winter-wonderland my son smiles because he  knows how happy celebrating Christmas makes me and besides he loves it too!

As October draws near I’ll be listening to some of the greatest Christmas classics from some of the best recording artists ever. Holiday traditions will be celebrated once again this year with gratefulness, compassion and good cheer.

The Christmas Season and Happy Holidays Are Coming Soon

Christmas lights, will once again, create a warm atmosphere along with red and gold Christmas ornaments. I’m looking forward to seeing them brighten the corner space in my living room. Happy faces will grace this place.

Gold reindeer will be a centerpiece under my sofa table to add a bit of sparkling glitter.

A beautiful brown wooden tray will adorn my coffee table this Christmas. On this lovely brown tray I’ll add my red Christmas hurricanes as well and of course I can’t forget to add my special baked treats. Brownies will be the main attraction and who doesn’t love a rich dark chocolate brownie. I may have to go and bake some at this very moment!

What about you? How will you make your Christmas merry and your holiday happy this year? I’m sure you have your Christmas list for the most wonderful time of the year.

It’s never too early to prepare for Christmas is it?

It’s a holly jolly feeling that makes me sing merry and bright and may your Christmas be bright.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

Sincerely, Cyn
