9 Ways To Start Your Very Amazing Christmas Eve

Happy Saturday Christmas Luminaries,
It’s September 6th already. My oh my. Time is moving faster and faster every single day. It’s going to be Christmas before know it.
Let’s get your house Christmas Eve ready by doing these 3 things.
- Straighten up your bedrooms and make the beds.
- Give your bathrooms a light cleaning and put decorative hand towels in a little basket and place it on the top of the back of your toilet. Do this in all your bathrooms.
- Next, clean your kitchen after breakfast. Put away the dishes until lunchtime.
Now, that this is done, let’s jump into how to have a very amazing Merry Christmas Eve.
Here are 9 ways to enjoy a very amazing Merry Christmas Eve
- Turn on all of your Christmas lights inside your home. Yes, I know it’s morning time, but turn on those beautiful lights right now to get you further into the Christmas Eve mood.
- Illuminate your home with bright and beautiful lights. Soften the ambiance with soft glowing lights when evening falls. This is a special day so let’s warm up your home with lights.
- Starting from the front of your home to the back of your home brighten up your home and make it a Christmas winter wonderland by adding candles. Candles have a way of adding more warmth and wonder to your home and personalized space which could be your bedroom or anynroom that you designate as your special quiet space.
- Now that you’ve done that, make a playlist for Christmas Eve. What are some of your favorite Christmas songs? Whatever they are add at least ten songs to your list. Be sure to make your list festive as you get ready to celebrate Christmas Day.
May I suggest some of my favorite Christmas songs.
- Andy Williams, It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year
- Josh Groban, O Holy Night
- Dean Martin, It’s a Marshmallow World
- Mariah Carey, Baby Please Come Home
- The Temptations, Silent Night
You can create a mix of fast paced and slow songs, but it’s totally up to you of course. I love mostly fast paced Christmas songs because I love to sing along and dance. I love upbeat Christmas song as well, but they always make me cry a river. Good happy good cheer tears surround me all Christmas season long.
5. While you’re listening to Christmas music and your house is all lit up you’re going to bake a Christmas dessert and design a lovely Christmas craft. You choose. There are endless choice for your Christmas craft.
You can bake peanut butter cookies, snicker doodles or chocolate chip cookies. Or maybe you love brownies. If so, why not bake a box of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Brownies or bake them from scratch. Her is the Ghirardelli ultra dark chocolate brownie recipe. I bake them weekly. They are moist, soft and downright delicious. I like to add an extra egg to make my brownies cake-like. Talk about amazing.

Once your Christmas dessert has cooled, you can put them in a cookie jar and enjoy them as you get ready to undertake your next activity for Christmas Eve. I found a really nice cookie at Crate and Barrel. It’s large large, but lovely.
6. Now let’s grab a paper plate, a festively decorated Christmas plate to place your dessert on as you get ready to craft!
Are you a crafty person or are you a creative being? Why not use your creativity to craft a Christmas ornament. Perhaps you’d rather write a letter to someone in need or write a Christmas poem or story. Whatever you decided make it amazing. If you choose to write or craft make it festive!
Time is winding down and you are enjoying your Christmas Eve.
7. It’s dinner time. You are going to make the most wonderful dinner you’ve ever cooked before. I put some of my Christmas dinner menus from Divas Can Cook. She has some of the most delicious recipes ever. I’ve made some of her dishes, which are similar to mine and I love all the ones I’ve tried. I especially enjoy her pond cakes.
Would you mind if I suggest a wonderful Christmas Even dinner?
How does this sound.
A ground turkey and cheese lasagna with all the seasonings, broccoli, chicken wings, dinner rolls and sweet potato casserole. Lamb is also another good dish to add to your Christmas Eve dinner menu. Having a good variety of food is a plus.
Add a poundcake and ice cream for dessert and you have a full course meal with delicious dessert(s).
8. After you have eaten dinner, it’s time to relax and light a candle or two.
9. Find a cozy comfy place in your home and enjoy the rest of your evening. Close your eyes, play your Christmas list and drink a warm cup of tea.
Enjoy your Christmas Eve. It’s a feeling of warmth and it is your home filled with good cheer, peace and an abundance of love and joy.
Merry Christmas everyone.
